c4c lyrics to a song

raised up in a southern town
got my life lessons from the beat of a drum
that kept its rhythm going strong
from suckin the blood of the men it surrounded

(chorus)
and i was taught to love god
and all of his mistakes
and i was taught to hate anyone
that didnt feel the same

discussions with the life giver
produce insight i could not see
i was blind, hypnotised
but now im running

running while i can still walk
running while i can crawl
running while i can still breath
all this toxic air everyones been breathin on me

(chorus)

so now im running
running from this town
theres a better world out there ive been told
somewhere out past the fields of gold

Dunno why but I sang this in my head to a reggae beat so sing it with a jamacan accent and you should be fine

Lyrically I think its great, the lines "all this toxic air everyones been breathin on me" "from suckin the blood of the men it surrounded" seem a bit long, And while its not the most original of song Ideas, its executed well.

this is really good man , ever listend to the band hurt ? lyrics really remind me of there style http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1RNnnuBL20

if theres anything id change it would be the first line , sounds like the start of a cliche country song but apart from that its awesome , great flow in the lyrics
