Searchbar returned nothing useful... So I ask, what band(s) are you really into right now? Bands you just can't quit listening to?

Björn Olsson at the moment. He just realised a new album. One of my favourite artists. And it was one of those absolutely unnoticed/unannounced releases. Which made me even happier. Just came home and a friend told me "heey he released a new album" and I'm like. Whoop-de-doo.
sometimes I see us in a cymbal splash or in the sound of a car crash

Coldplay and bob marley

Lol, Coldplay...

But Bob Marley has always been a staple of mine. Reminds me of high school.

Alexisonfire, Gallows, System Of A Down, Touche Amore, La Dispute, August Burns Red, Of Mice and Men and As I Lay Dying are my favourites.
Top Three I can't put down at the moment:
SOAD
Of Mice and Men
Alexisonfire

Mainly because I'm learning a lot of their songs and need to get to know certain ones

Extreme metal and eastern folk music never sounded so good.

Always wondered.

I was on a Circus Maximus, Lost Horizon, and Heathen buzz a while ago, now its sorta Atheist, Coroner, and early death metal sorta stuff. It all depends on what band I'm playing in at the time

Incubus. Seriously ever year I get hooked by one song then I go and listen them all and sing along to all the words Brandon so eloquently performs, and Mikes parts are just absolutely amazing, learnt nearly half the now. Bought all the CD's, live DVD's and most interviews including IncubusHQ. These guys should be the biggest in the world, weird, boundary pushing, yet applicable to anyone. And yes, I'm a fan since fungus amongus.

Loving (songs) atm:
- Dig
- Are you in?
- Promises, promises

There are people who say that they are complete shit after their first album "Goddamnit." It's certainly more "punk" than their later shit but I still like most of their music. Even if ig goes towards a more alternative rout.

Ehh, all bands are gonna change. It is inevitable. So if all you were into is the punk stuff, it's understandable. But I see a lot of excellent songwriting in their newer stuff (Damnesia is a great album, and they do a very good job covering their own songs). The only album I didn't get into much was Crimson, which was too... "singy". I don't know how to describe it. lol

Yeah... those, and "Nose Over Tail" and "Fall Victim" were good. The rest just didn't do it for me.

Yes... yes it is.... so that's back down to three from Crimson that I like

Goddamnit is one of the most nostalgic albums for me.

I'm listening to Crimson now, and I am actually liking it a lot.

Maybe I've never liked it because I listened to it with the rest of Alk3's stuff?

i should give it another listen then. mabe it's one of those albums where it sounds better as a stand alone rather than part of a discography.

Yeah Alkaline Trio talk! I never liked Goddamnit, it's good, but it's not as good as Maybe I'll Catch Fire and From Here To Infirmary. Crimson and Agony & Irony is meh, apart from a few songs. This Addiction is great, but Remains is the best album along with the 2 I've mentioned earlier.

OT: Ceremony, AFI, Strung Out and Descendents.

I never gave "MAybe I'll Catch Fire" a lot of time, but in recent years it's really grown on me. /

Tis' "Alexis on Fire" as they were gonna name the band after the porn star Alexis Fire but because they couldn't use her precise name they chose Alexis ON Fire
