Hey guys, I'm planning on auditioning for a music scholarship in two weeks. Can anyone recommend a good song or something to learn that would impress them? They said it could be anything that would display my abilities, but I'm pretty sure they probably want classical or something really impressive. Pretty much it aside from that I'm auditioning on bass

Nice suggestion, but I'm not quite sure what you're getting at.

What sort of music do you like?

Mostly Drum and bass, electronic stuff, and some metal because most of my friends are

into it.

Do some crazy John Entwistle bass solo.
Are you playing electric or double bass?

Piano dick had some good parts, but should have said "As the business man slowly gets boned", would have accented the whole dick feeling of the album

How about YYZ?

I'm sure people consider that a pretty difficult song to do.

For the sort of people you're likely to find yourself auditioning to, something like Stevie Wonder's Sir Duke would be a good bet, or something by Jaco.

They will want you to show versatility, so make sure you have a couple of back up things, like a blues rythm etc. etc.
