10-52's.

DR Tite Fit 10-50's are also really good if you don't like the ultra tight 4th and 5th strings.

Ernie Ball Super Slinky 9-42's.

I think that that would be a bit too thin. The tone would be wicked thin and the strings would be like rubber bands and really uncomfortable to play (In my opinion)

and the strings

Strings plural? You're only detuning the low E. Sure 10s will be better, but it still can be done with 9s. Now if you're talking drop C, 9s would be pretty loltastic !

And I guess it depends if you're doing this for a couple songs from time to time or playing a lot of LoG. If it's the latter, definitely go for the heavier strings IMO.

<-- Omniscient Plus I grabbed a few tabs for Ashes recently, so it was the first band to cross my mind Slight a bit of technique shock coming from an old thrash guitarist, that's for sure. Just tuned to drop C for some KSE and well, the regular 10s are wayyyyy too loose. I'll have to get the nut on my rga121 cut for 11's.
