Has anyone built a power supply for thier active pickups? I saw one on EMG's website but, decided to try to build my own for a lot less. So far i have one stereo jack wired to a mono jack, and a 9v battery with a switch running to the ring of the stereo jack. Also, off of the switch , is a led with a resistor wired in. Im just not sure what to do with the ground on the battery and led. Any help would be appreciated.

u'd need a stereo cable going into your guitar, but yes it will work. but i dont think its a good idea as there is a big possibility of a short between power and ground.
