I saw this on another forum before and just thought it would be a fun little thing to do. Imagine you are starting completely over on guitar. You have $1000 (about 760 Euros) to create a rig that you think is gig worthy. You have to buy an amp, guitar, and all the accessories needed (picks, strings, strap, cord) Since used stuff is hard to verify, no craigslist or e-bay. Links would be appreciated.

Seems fun this..

Guitar:

http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_squier_classic_vibe_tele_50s.htm
Squier classic vibe 50's telecaster, solid guitars, have a good sound, they play well, sit on a strap nice, and hey, its a telecaster, its very basic and straight to the point.

Amp:

http://www.thomann.de/gb/jet_city_amplification_112rc.htm
Jet city 112 combo, 20 watts, nice amount of gain, will be loud enough (mic'd up, but i find on-stage sound for these sort of combos is great and you can hear yourself fine)

Pedals:

http://www.thomann.de/gb/electro_harmonix_bigmuff_pi.htm
Electro harmonix big muff PI, standard fuzz, i wouldn't go without one of these on my pedalboard.

Accessories:
http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/product/12-54_Pure_Nickel_Wound_Set_15512
Curt managan nickel wound 12-54. Tuned to c standard.

http://www.thomann.de/gb/planet_waves_pwcg10_instrumentenkabel.htm
These cables are great. Mine haven't let me down and i've had them for ages (the only time they've let me down is when i lose them )

http://www.thomann.de/gb/planet_waves_50s05_fishbone_strap.htm
This strap. cause it looks cool.
http://www.thomann.de/gb/schaller_security_locks_ruthenium_449.htm
Even cooler when you have straplocks so you dont have any problems

Curt managan picks, These things work great. Last a decent while, and feel great.

Also how is there a winner for this? Everyone has different playing styles, genres they play, and acquired gear tastes o_o

The winner is everyone. Everyone gets a cookie. Also, great setup. I love the classic vibe series. JCA's are pretty cool too.

Its quite fun budgeting this stuff, If you gave a thousand euros budget i'd have probably tried to get a laney lionehart over a JCA cause i'm biased

Its quite weird cause my rig is around £2.6k-£3k with 2 guitars, was quite fun trying to actually budget this haha
