So, I am looking to get a new guitar and I have found two possible choices:

1. Jackson RR3 Randy Rhoads

or

2. Schecter Diamond Series Omen 6

Which would you choose? I have no experience with a Floyd Rose, but I am willing to learn. They are both similar in price. Thanks for any input.

I was incorrect above. After doing more on-line research, I believe the Rhoads is a RX10D, not an RR3. Sorry for any confusion.

I am a big Jackson fan. I have a RR3 and DK2M Dinky. They are both pro series models and I am very happy with them. I can't say anything about Schecter guitars or the RRX10D so I might not be of much help.

I can't say much about the Jackson but I have the Omen 6 and it plays well in my opinion.

Not sure about the Jackson but the Omen is supposed to be a pretty solid (if fairly basic) guitar. That said, I wouldn't associate either with a Vox...

Yeah, I know the Vox isn't great...in fact, it keeps failing on me, so it might be replaced soon.

In any case, I ended up buying the Rhoads...the guy lowered the price and it was too good a deal to pass up. Thanks for the replies.
