I'm looking to pick up a new amp soon, but I have no idea where to even begin
I'm the only one of my group of friends who really plays an instrument, and the guys at my local guitar center are really pushy and just try to sell you something quickly and get you out of the store.

Anyway, I would like to spend between $300-$600, possibly a little more, but not much.

My most played genre is more current metals, like melodeath and prog metal, but I also like to mix it up and do some jazzy playing every now and then.

I don't really care what brand/type of amp it is, as long as it works well and for what I want to do.

(I'm using a fender mustang right now, if it matters)

Thanks a lot guys!

Where are you located? A nice used amp could be right up your alley.

A few amps that spring to mind are Jet City JCA22, Traynor YCV40 or a Peavey Classic 30 or Valveking.

That's the advantage of being such a distance from Yianni. I can continue to live my life without fear of stumbling upon his dark terror.
