We have tiers, sort of.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Soccer_Pyramid#MenWe won the championship in PKs. And beat Newcastle in a friendly in the last couple of minutes.

Difference being you don't get promoted/relegated depending on position? Fair play. I don't understand 'wildcards' though, how do they get chosen?
I was also just about to laugh at the fact FC Dallas' stadium is called Pizza Hut Park, then I remembered that York City's was called KitKat Crescent for a few years

I don't watch soccer though

Wild cards are the teams that were really close to making the playoffs by default, so they have them duke it out for one last spot per division.

Yeah, EPL seems more like Code S to me.

(I know no one will understand that but it helps me)

Ah, so, like the top 3 from each division go through and then 4rd and 5th battle it out for a place in the playoffs? So, it's a playoff to get into the playoff. Seems simple enough.

Too be fair, it was against L.A.

As much as I hate to say it, I don't see you guys beating Vancouver next week.

Yeah, pretty much. They do the same in the NFL as well, but with more teams obviously.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they brought a bunch of new players to the team this year, so it's gonna take some time for them to play together to really have smooth play.

It doesn't help they don't have the easiest start to their schedule, of course.

Looks like they have the best colors out of the league and they play at RFK too, I guess I'll try to watch a soccer game one day.

Salt Lake are actually good? What a good random choice for me then.

I'm jealous of you Yanks, really, how much is a match ticket there, roughly?

Yeah, you guys have one of the better stadiums in the league. No idea how the support is, though. I'd imagine it's not that big.

They're ranked #1 in the current power rankings, I think some of that is everyone over-hyping their win over L.A.

Sounders tickets are usually between $30-40 for almost any seat that's not club. Very affordable.

Dat Salt Lake.
Yeah, $30-40 is like, what, £20-25ish? £70 for a Liverpool ticket ;_;
£15 for a York City ticket but they're in the 5th tier of the pyramid, not even in the Football League.

$35 is about £26, so yeah. One nice thing about MLS not being that big. Helps a lot when you have a team with the support like Seattle, so the pricing is really a steal.

Philadelphia Union.

Unfortunately they've started the season with two losses.

Plenty of time to turn things around. They have quite a few new players, so they need time to get in sync. They've shown some good flashes of quality, but they haven't been consistent so far.

I have tickets for Union vs. NYRB and Union vs. DC United. I CAN'T WAIT! So much fun.

I feel like a such a bandwagoner for supporting Seattle now.

On the real, I wish there was a team somewhere close to me so I could go see a game or two. Or at least I wish I could watch more games on tv. Lack of channels sucks mane.

I'll try to go more digital about it then
