I’m not the reason that you fall in love
You were leaning long before I came along
But I won’t break you fall cause I’m a bad man

You’ve been looking for a real man
But all you find is good guys
Looking at you with their needy eyes
I guess you hate your own reflection
That’s why you’re looking my direction

I’m not the reason that you fall in love
You were leaning long before I came along
But I won’t break you fall cause I’m a bad man

You were leaning long before I came along
And I won’t break your fall ‘cause I’m a bad man

You like my confidence
But not the consequence
Of being with a man who doesn’t care
Trying to find love that isn’t there

I keep you close
Then I push you away
You say that you’ll leave
But I know that you’ll stay
Cause love’s expensive but passion is free
And so you're standing next to me, but...

I’m not the reason that you fall in love
You were leaning long before I came along
But I won’t break you fall cause I’m a bad man

You were leaning long before I came along
And I won’t break your fall ‘cause I’m a bad man

Keep you around cause
You’re good for now and
I don’t like being alone
Don’t like your neediness
Can’t take you serious
But let’s be serious
I just hate my own reflection
I'm holding on to your affection

I’m not the reason that you fall in love
You were leaning long before I came along
But I won’t break you fall cause I’m a bad man

You were leaning long before I came along
And I won’t break your fall ‘cause I’m a bad man

I don't care for the lyrics as they are to straightforward. Remember its more about how you present them though. Are you going for a country song with a common chord progression?

the progression for the chorus is jazzy Bb7-EbM7-Cm-Fm7

and then the verses are a downward folk progression Ab-Gm-Fm-Eb

bridge is a rising progression
