I am looking for something, to record riffs that I play, with decent sound. I don't want to spend a lot of money.

This would be something that I can record on, pass off to our other guitarist and have him jam to. Something to get those spur of the moment things in my head captured.

I was thinking this, any thoughts?

I use the voice memo feature of my ipod. It's perfect for capturing those things you think up and don't want to forget. Plus it's free with your ipod so you don't have to buy anything if you have one.

I do the same thing on my iPhone, I record it as a video so I don't forget what I've played as I'm very forgetful :/ or if I have my laptop on I film it on that, you don't need to pay for any equipment if it's just for personal use
