I currently have a Peavey Vypyr that I have been generally happy with. I've had it for about three years, and I want to upgrade. I want more of a proper amp, so I think that tube is a must. The front runner right now is an Ht-5, but I want to know if that would be a step up from what I have now or just a step sideways?
There's lots of Vypyrs, I can't really help you out anyway, but nobody can help you without knowing what kind of Vypyr.
RG351DX - Bridge Dragonfire Screamer, Mid+Neck Fender Hot Noiseless
Peavey Valveking 112 - Eminence GB128
AMT E1 > Joyo AC Tone > Dan'o EQ > Shimverb > Digidelay
Well, if you want a tube amp strike the HT-5 off your list.
But what tas said. Depends on what Vyper you have. A 60W Vyper Tube will wipe the floor with a HT-5.
