So I was watching this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytQlsDPEgA4&feature=g-u-u&context=G242c16aFUAAAAAAAAAA

And he talks about stars being flung out of galaxies. As far as I can tell, I've always only ever heard of spacey things like quasars, black holes, stars, planets, nebulae all being inside some galaxy or another. But it made me curious, are there spacey things that just kinda chill in the vast emptiness between the galaxies? A dark, lonely planet, or a couple stars just hanging together?

Yes, there's crap floating between galaxies.

No, there is not a whole lot of it. Gravity will naturally cause all that crap to either fall into a galaxy, or coalesce into a new galaxy.
Or magically turn into a new universe. 'Cause physics is a bitch like that.

EDIT: Wait why did I just type that?

There wouldn't be anything just chilling out in between galaxies because of the way planets and stars form. We know that some bodies can escape orbit from their respective galaxies and get flung through the dark space but assuming you define stationary as "the body was formed there," stationary bodies just wouldn't exist out there.

Bodies form in nebulae which are dense clouds of dust and gas, these clouds are formed by earlier stellar explosions located in the same area. For instance it's estimated that our Sun is the fifth or sixth star to form from the nebula in which we are located. These nebulae only occur in galaxies because of the dense concentration of stars and wouldn't really happen out in the dark space.
