This unfortunate Norweigan airline is holding an online poll to determine which famous Norweigan figure to paint on the tail fin of one of their planes. And guess who's in second place

http://www.halehelter.no

EDIT: The artist in question has now moved up to first.

...famous Norweigan...

Well that sure is relative.

Cause many places outside of Norway, that might be considered an oxymoron.

No offense intended. ...just my impression from reading the list from several thousand miles away. Of course, I could be living in a cave or something with UG as my only connection to the outside world or something.

Are famous Norweigans more famous on the Continent than they are across the pond?

Wow, that list doesn't contain Edward Grieg. Norway, you fail.

...modes and scales are still useless.

He's also the guy who, after discovering one of his friends who had slit his wrists and then shot himself in the face with a shotgun, went out and bought a disposable camera so he could take pictures of his corpse before calling an ambulence. He then used one of the pictures as album cover.

He didn't use the picture as an album cover, he showed the picture to someone who used it as the cover of a bootleg live album

TS, you should have pointed out that fact that this isn't the first time Norwegian (that's the name of the aviaton company) does this. Several of their planes have known Norwegians on them (among them Grieg and Amundsen).

To translate the first part of the pragraph:
This year Norwegian havs it's tenth anniversary. During these years, our tail-fin Heroes have been a strong part of our identity.

Fun fact: The names Quisling and Vidkun are banned in Norway.

Quisling is used in the Swedish language as a word to describe a traitor.

Facist? Not really. The name Hitler is banned in several countries.

Think about it: If a parent decides to name their kid after a infamous nazi/mass-murderer/tratior, what do you think people would think of the kid?

Also: Nazism is illegal in Norway.

Why? Because there is a fine line between freedom of expression and being an idiot.
