I'm thinking of hard tailing my floyd rose special cause i've had nothing but trouble with it and i'm sick of having my guitar go out of tune in the studio or live.

So i've looked into how to do it and everything and it's all good but I have one question I can't get answered clearly... Is the floyd rose ENTIRELY static once hard tailed or can you still do dives? I've heard contrasting different answers off different people... but nevertheless, any help would be great!

Cheers

Depends on how you block it, man! If you just block the recessed part, then you can still dive, but if you put a wood block in behind the spring block then you can't dive.

Nah, I prefer to tune lower. My tunings usually go into weird Hebrew symbols.

get the tremol-no man, you can block your floyd to either full hardtail or dive only mode, I have it and it works wonderfully!

Why do you and your mates all drive old vehicles?
Please say you've got mates with old ambulances and fire engines too. That'd be brilliant.
