These look like great little amps for $300. Bias trem, 15" speaker, three inputs, uses two 12ax7's in the preamp and two 6v6's in the poweramp. Looks cool too. It will probably be my first tube amp...

I was checkin those out too. Look like sweet little amps to jam on. The accordion input thing is pretty cool too.
Have fun when you get it!

How loud do they get? Can they probably be heard over a drummer?

You'll be fine. If a Blues Junior can get over drums, this can, too.

Just don't expect to play any sort of tight metal through it. This is a strictly blues/garage/surf-type amp.

That wattage, built in tremolo, and that price point make it automatically intriguing. If it doesn't happen to sound like garbage, it's probably going to be a niche hit.

Tremolo automatically makes any cheap low-gain amp sound about 15x better.

When I seen this and the other pawn shop amps I honestly thought about getting them just because of how unique and qwerky they look

Yep, I just hope they've made enough.

It's been on my GAS list since I heard about it during namm. I think it would be absolutely dirty for my guitar/drums wannabe black keys duo thing. The 15" speaker, tube biased tremolo, and simple controls make me get all tingly. Tube rectified would just send me over the edge, but at $300, no way that's happening.

Yeah, it's ss rectified.

Seems pretty pathetic compared to other tube amps, but it's at a price point much lower than similar wattage tube amps.

She insists to wear this lights.

I don't think so.

How can I persuade her?

Pathetic how? No preamp gain? No effects loop? No step attenuator?

Maybe not pathetic but.....lacking in features compared to other amps. For the same price you could get a 50+watt SS modeler, small tube amp with an attenuator (Vox AC4,VHT) or even something like the Jet City 20.

It seems gimmicky

Where can you get a 13 watt 6v6 fender amp with BIAS trem for $300? No where.

That's the whole idea. It's supposed to be an amp hearkening back to the earliest days of tube amps, when all that was there was a volume knob, and they were intended for multiple different instruments.

It's not aimed at any of the markets you listed. It's strictly a garage curiosity type amp. What it lacks for in features, it makes up for in tone.

I have one, been playing it for around a month. It is really bad ass. Left it stock to see what it really needed. I am thinking some better tubes, maybe a separate speaker cab with another 15". I don't know, it sounds really good stock, and as far as lacking a Tone control, I don't miss it. I just use the guitar's Tone pot more. That's not even considering how inexpenive it is. you put that on top of the kind of sounds you can get, its crazy! It takes to pedals really well, and is loud enough to play with a drummer in a small band.
