I'm putting 12-60's in my 25.5" guitar, but I'm aware that there's no way I tune these up to standard tuning when I re-string my guitar with them.
I'm planning to use them for Drop B, A# and A, and the package says the tension is optimized for C Standard tuning.
When tuning the strings during re-stringing, should I tune them to C Standard, then tune them to Drop B when I'm done, or should I tune them to Drop B whilst re-stringing?

(I need to do some serious intonation work whilst re-stringing, if that helps)

Tune it to the lowest tuning youll use and use a Capo. My rhythm player does that, leaves his guitar in G standard with 14-68.

That said, tuning up to C and then dropping will help break the strings in a little bit faster.

That capo thing's a very interesting idea, I might try that
