Hey,
I'm starting to do a lot of gigs recently and my "good" guitar is getting beat up...
So, I've been wanting to get a gig guitar.
I have no problem buying it used and my budget is between $300-$500...
It needs to have a floyd rose, 6 strings, a very solid build, and passive humbucking pickup(s).
I'd rather have a super strat body shape

EDIT: I play thrash, live in Colorado, and my "good" guitar is the limited run Gibson Explorer with the floyd rose.

Where are you located?

Willing to buy used?

What is your 'good' guitar?

I live in Colorado, and I don't mind buying used guitars, and my "good" guitar is the limited run Gibson Explorer with the floyd rose.

Get something like a G&L Rampage, but a floyd. It'll take any beating then.
I'm building an Oak tele, and something similar is something you should consider doing. Warmoth neck, Schaller floyd etc, 1 humbucker + volume & tone, etc. It'll stick with me forever.

You know I'm a big fan of Ibanez trems. I would look for a used RGA, or a used PRS Torero. The torero does have emgs though.... Why are you against active? Is it the lack of good cleans?

no, I'm just against stuff like digital effects, solid state amps, and active pickups...
It's just a personal thing.

Alright I can see taht I would Check out either the RGA or Schecter C-1 they are kind of heavy IMO and have fat necks. If you like something inbetween the go go with a ltd the MH-327 isn't a bad choice for versitility on a budget.
