A Fender Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass or a MIM standard Jazz?

I can get the Squier new for about $300 and can find the MIM used for about the same.

Just curious what your guys opinions were.

Thanks

Having had experience with both, I'd have to say the Squier in this case.

If you can get both for around the same price, take the new, at least if you are unhappy you can get a refund or switch

thanks for the suggestions. I went ahead and dropped by a local music store and picked up the Squier Vintage Modified. So far so good. I've got a gig tomorrow night I plan on using it so hopefiully it treats me well.

that bass is such a winner here in UG... i think it's because it's the best bang for your buck...

When you break a bass string, that snapping sound is the sound of six dollars going down the crapper.
