Another good day for me. I bought a Digitech Bad Monkey.

I've always been skeptical of Digitech pedals but I've heard people say that this is the next best thing to the Ibanez TS-9. So I thought, why not? I'm starting to enjoy a nice overdriven tone. Anyways, from the moment I plugged this baby in, I was so surprised. It does exactly what I wanted it to do. A nice overdrive tone that I can play with. A low-gain, even blues gain to mess around with.

Also, one thing I can do with this pedal I've never been able to do before is, use it as a boost. Its so cool. I can have the gain on my amp at about 6-7 and have this baby on as a boost for just more gain or for soloing. This is, honestly, a great pedal. So worth the $50 I spent. I've never used a TS-9 but if a TS-9 sounds better than this... than wow because this pedal is amazing. This pedal raising my expectations on DigiTech pedals. This pedal is just a great, affordable tubescreamer.

Way to make me feel like a jackass for passing on the bad monkey when I had the chance.

Seriously though, happy npd. Tubescreamers are fun.
