Well Pit, I know we're all manly men here, but are there any songs that have made you cry, or come close to doing so? inb4 "TS is a fag, nobody cries at songs lololol"

I was watching this video of Don't Forget Me live and just had tears in my eyes, tears of joy.

Mother Love by Queen. Final song Freddie Mercury recorded. He died before he could finish it, so Brian May sings the last verse.

One song that always brings me to tears is Rylynn by Andy McKee. Amazing acoustic instrumental and there's just so much emotion brought out in the song.

Another one would be Home by Joe Satriani. His phrasing and tone on that song just makes me melt into a puddle of tears. I plan on recording my own version of it and giving it to that one special someone when I find her. Call me a sap :P

For me, Videotape by Radiohead and the last 45 seconds or so of Two Headed Boy pt. 2 by NMH always get me. Specifically the part in Two Headed Boy pt. two where his voice wavers during the line "She will feed you tomatoes, and radio wiiiiiiires". He does that thing that is in every line of every Bright Eyes song, but it works so well.

Those lines in Two Headed Boy pt. 2 get me every time. Same with that whole album, but especially Two Headed Boy 1 and 2.

If you don't feel it when his voice cracks, you don't have a heart.

This.
Also, The Worlds Edge and Scratches by John Frusciante.

Hmm.. the closest thing would be "If I ever leave this world alive", by Flogging Molly. Also Memories of life - Final Fantasy 9 OST.

I don't care what kind of music or films you like, if you watched Dancer in the Dark and got to the ending with this song playing, you cried.

Bjork - New World

This.
And a lot of other songs really. Noteworthy mentions (in my opinion) would be
Michael Jackson - Give In To Me
Joe Satriani - Cryin' (.. Must've written that song entirely for the pun)
Jeff Beck - Where Were You

The song "Last Kiss" covered by Pearl Jam.

So sad. Actually a lot of songs by Pearl Jam.

I was going to say this.
Have you heard the original? It's got that upbeat doo-wop feel to it so it's a rather odd song.

All of them. ;________________;

some songs make me cry more than others, but I'm not telling you which ones they are because you don't deserve to know

The song was written about a friend of the band that died (her name was Diane). Oddly enough, around the time I first heard the album, my grandmother (also named Diane) died of cancer. Kind of a strange coincidence that makes the song more personal. When introducing the song live, Eddie said he never got a chance to say goodbye, and it was pretty much the same for me as well.
