i hear people s ay they need/want a versatile rig but i find when i practice i don't use any different tones with any different bands. i use a distorted tone. i have 3 channels on my amp and my metal muff. i find channels two and 3 don't sound too different. is,that because they share an EQ?

Ya, if they share the same eq, they may be voiced similar. Keep the gain down on the first one - set it cleaner, there's your difference.

If you are talking about the B52 AT100 I know what you are talking about. I could not find one single difference between Channel 2 and Channel 3.

Normally, you would expect tonal changes between channels yes.

Also, maybe edit your OP. You've got some spelling errors that causes your message to come across confusing.
