Im looking to replace the pickups in my Ibanez, and i dont really know what would sound good with such a thin, mahogany body and maple neck.

I like to play anything from Jazz stuff to VH and Metallica.

Im thinking of a Dimarzio Paf Pro in the neck and a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge. Im no0t really worried about the scingle coil mid pickup for now. Make a suggestio nand it would be appreciated

I put the Evolution pickups in my S570DXQM.
Really came alive.

I do mostly Classic Rock and blues.

The pickups you have in mind should do the trick.

Thakns man. Would you have any other odd suggestions that i might ponder upon? I dont really want SD, ive done them befotre and i think all Ibanez guitars should stay loyal to Dimarzio anyhow. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

The evolution interest me.. They are more used in basswood bodies however. How would they sound in a mahogany?

I like them in mine.

But I don't do jazz. My friends play some jazz when we jam at my house, but then I usually go to my office and work on pedals
I think they do have a nice crisp clean sound to them.

They do dirt well too.

While maybe not your thing, with those, a Fulltone Fulldrive 2 MOSFET set to vintage and MOSFET, and my AC30, I can NAIL Rush's Working Man tone.
I know that's kind of a generic tone, but it makes me happy.

Haha no I can appreciate Rush I might think about those. On another note, what color pickups would look cool with the orange body? I'm probably just gonna keep it traditional black but you never know!

Anyone wanna Photoshop for me? try red, yellow and orange pickups. I don't think any other colors would look that great.
