I am trying to get this barre chord down. If I am not mistaken, it should be this for A7. To be perfectly honest, I was having trouble finding the right terminology in my head. Please educate me if I am wrong based on information below and in title of thread.

Barre 5th fret, middle on G 6th fret, ring on A 7th fret.

That freaking ring finger keeps messing with other strings and try as I might, I try to put the tip on the string, but I press and it's touching other strings. I know to keep practicing, but it there an alternate fingering? I don't see how.

Maybe callous (sp?) is not hard enough?

Barre Chord you ask? I am trying my hand at blues style music with dom 7 chords and am struggling with this one, but oddly enough, it's not my index finger that is giving me issues, my stubby fat ring finger.

As far as I can tell, it sounds like you're doing it right. I guess it just takes practise
