Hey so I went through all 3 pages of the Alt & Indie forum and I couldn't find a recommendation thread (unless I managed to skip it, then lock this thread for sure) so I decided to make this thread and ask you guys for some recommendations.

Anyway, so yeah I listen to quite a spread but most of the things on high rotation in shuffle at the moment would fall under alt/indie

Songs like these:
Flight Facilities - Crave You - Probably my favorite song right now, or at least the one that i listen to the most

Electric Guest - This Head I Hold
Electric Guest - Jenny

Crackpot - Harder Than That -Please listen to this one

Minus the Bear - Women We Haven't Met Yet Minus the bear

Kraak and Smaak - Wasted With a Smile And kraak and smaak have bean tickling my fancy lately

Albums I enjoy at the moment

Lana Del Ray - Born to Die (I know I might cop some flak for this but I can't deny that i enjoy her music)

Last Dinosaurs - In a Million Years

Bon Iver - Bon Iver

City and Colour - Little Hell

Foster the People - Torches

Young the Giant - Young the Giant

EDIT: Just for a better idea: boy and bear, fleet foxes, broken bells, the national, MGMT are all bands that I enjoy.

It's not all indie though I still enjoy rock/whatever genre related to rock as well

Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine? I'm sure you've heard it but the band in a musical i'm currently playing for love ripping this out during the intermission, and I enjoy it more every time.

DZ Deathrays - No Sleep Cool Australian band that I'm digging at the moment

So if you know any bands that you'll think I would like, judging by what I've just posted, then feel free recommend them to me. And I guess this could become a recommendation thread, unless I've missed the actual one.

I got into them a few months ago but if hadn't that would have been a perfect suggestion because i really like them (censored colours, and the one with so american on it, oh yes) it's too bad the keyboard guy left.

St Vincent was pretty good, the only problem I have with her is that, pretty similar to grimes, her voice is pleasant but it doesn't really transcend pass that, there's nothing to really focus onto it.
I guess the reason why I like Lana Del Ray is because she can write a catchy hook, most of her songs have a massive climax, on top of a good rhythm section.
Same as the flight facilities song, the percussion kills it in that song and when you add the synth (if this was a music exam I would say it juxtaposes nicely with the clarity of her voice)

Running from a gamble (the song) I liked a lot, the other songs from the album where a bit disappointing after hearing that one first though.

The rest I don't see myself listening to.
Thanks though

@due 07 I saw TTNG live last year and they smashed it; it was great.
And yeah my bad, completely missed that

EDIT: This summs up what's catching my attention at the moment pretty well Mark Foster/Kimbra/A-trak collaboration, dancey indie, DJ music

From your tastes, I'd say you'll likely dig a lot of female indie artists...popular and less well known, here you go.

Wide variety of music, but you'll thank me later.

I didn't really like any of those apart from Reverie Sound Revue, but thanks anyway (i don't know how to say that without sounding like a dick)

But I do have to thank you for starting me on a youtube wander from the suggested videos list, found some pretty cool bands like Air, Neon Indian, everything M83 did before midnight city, Big Scary, Deerhunter, refound the jezabels, We Are Trees, and still have about 20 tabs to go through
