Hi all

I was thinking of making myself a new custom guitar with just one humbucker and one volume knob (because I want something a little different to my other guitars). Probably a silly question, but if I've only got the one humbucker (two wires coming out, not four as I don't need the coil tap option), do I need a pickup selector switch?

Thanks!

Nah you wont. You may have to solder the 2 wires together or something like that. But you wont need a pickup selector.

Ask yourself what the switch would be switching.

Didn't you say that you had a stuffed fox that you would occasionally fuck?

With one humbucker without four wires you don't really have anything to switch...other than possibly having a killswitch if you're into that Tom Morello stuff

Only if you want to coil split or use one as a killswitch or something.
