just got my tax return and am slowly putting together my board. whats the quietest/best power supply you guys have had experience with? im guessing the major benefit of the supply is the low noise factor right? ive never used one of these so any advice on them is appreciated as well.

I use Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+, and it works great for me. No noise...in fact no issues at all. I actually got 2 of them... one for my guitar board and one for my bass board.
I don't have any experience with any other power supplies, but many people use the voodoo labs and I have never heard of anyone having any issues with them.
Things with strings:
Ibanez J.Custom, Prestiges, RG8, SR5 bass etc
LP's, Strat, Tele
Noiseboxes:
ENGL Retro Tube 50

I hear lots of good about Voodoo Labs, I use a TRex Fuel Tank myself.

Please, don't make the mistake of cheaping out though!

Partly depends on what you're asking it to do, really...

I've been using a Fuel Tank Jr. for years, but as soon as I got more pedals (including ones that use a different kind of power), I upgraded to a Cioks DC-10 and it's simply amazing. Lots of options as well!
