Just been offered a Marshall poweramp in a trade.

I know these things are the business, but I don't have a preamp for it. What I do have is a blackstar ht-dual which I'm thinking should work as a two channel valve powered preamp into the poweramp head.

Anyone know if this'll work til I can find a used jmp1 preamp?

Thanks.

Is what some junkies refer to heroin as. For me it's just loads of wires and good sturdy housing, but just as addictive.

Bump.

Anyone ever tried this or something similar?

Cheers for that. Just wanted to make sure. Think I might go for the trade. The Marshall would be a nice bit of gear to have, and the ht-dual sounds pretty good straight into a desk through a DI (I've gigged with it that way before) so in theory I should have a great sounding and hugely powerful rig.
