Basically I'm looking for a thick sludgy fuzz pedal and I'm not sure what to look at, I've tried the Ds1, Metal Zone, and almost everything available. The closest I've got to the sound I'm looking for is the Electro Harmonics Big Muff Pi. However this isn't quite thick enough.

Can anyone suggest a better fuzz, or even just a pedal that would allow me to thicken my sound up a bit?

Check out the Blackout Effectors Musket Fuzz. It's based on the classic Russian Muff circuit, but it's a lot more versatile and tweakable. You can get it to sound as thick as you could ever need it to be. It'll definitely do sludge/doom metal.

Blackout Effectors Musket Fuzz. If that's a bit out of your cost range, go for a used Swollen Pickle Mk II.

Joyo's Ultimate Octave sounds pretty decent for the price, and it has enough tweakability that you'll find at least one useable sound.
