Title says it all.

My 4x12 I suppose... don't NEED one, but whatever, it will be epic.

Snakeskin covered 2x12 - but it has V30s so i guess i just took advantage of the option seeing as it was covered in any colour i want and it was cheaper than any other 2x12 out there

A few years back i bought an Ibanez EW acoustic. The guitar plainly sucked, but I was blinded by its good looks and bought it anyway. Now I'm stuck with it, and regret it as ****.
Gear as 2015:
Ibanez PGM401
Music Man JP6 (for sale)
Music Man Axis (for sale)
Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster
Ibanez EW Acoustic Steel string
Crappy Cort Acoustic 12-string

i mean i make sure it's quality kit, too, but yeah.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

The main reason I bought my bc rich was because it was a ferrari red superstrat with a black up-turned headstock. The dimarzios, ofr and unfinished maple neck were just a bonus.

I bought this:

Fender FSR Standard Stratocaster

Because it looked like this:

David Gilmour "Black Strat"

I knew that it would be a quality instrument, and I buy all my gear online... so I took a chance, and it came out great!

Yeah, ESP ex 50. At the time i saw a badass looking guitar for not a lot of money. Bad guitar though. But that was about three years ago and I've sold it now. I now play a Dean VMNT and Jackson RR. Very good guitars.. And they look stunning

i think looks are what initially catch my eye but never really a factor in whether i then decide to buy it or not.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

Well see, I didn't buy my Destroyer, at all, for looks. In fact I thought it was ugly but the deal was right.

Started growing on me though... now I need the V, and some stock pups.

Have you seen my stack? I clearly didn't give a shit about colours when I put a red head on an orange cab.

That's the advantage of being such a distance from Yianni. I can continue to live my life without fear of stumbling upon his dark terror.

Very true.

I don't think I own a single thing bought based solely on looks. I've always liked the look of Ibanez Icemen but it was how it played that sold me on it. Even before I plugged it in i knew I wanted it because it felt so good in my hands. That's about as close as it gets I think though.

this pretty much. looks to me are always a factor but mostly a small one. i'd rather have a guitar that wasn't a great color but played and sounded fantastic than a pretty one that was just ok. if one was really close in a color i liked i might sacrifice a little but it would depend on what. a neck i hate for instance would be a no go no matter how nice the guitar looked. amps and pedals aren't something that i really give a second thought to as far as looks. sounds great or a no go period.
