She will join the prom.

She insists to wear this lights.

I don't think so.

How can I persuade her?

I'm really curious, I just want to play one to see just how it sounds. I can't imagine it being worth that price though.

Some googling give me the impression thats its actually an active cabinet, i.e. it has a power amp inside it as well. The ISP page is slow as snails so its hard to confirm but that seems to be the case with the 1x12 version http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/isp-technologies-vector-112-300w-1x12-active-guitar-subwoofer/600123000000000#review

active 400-watt Vector 212 extension cabinet

It's meant to be daisy chained with the ISP Theta combo, which is already 400W, giving you 800W rms total output power. Cool if you need 800W I guess...

Why would you want a subwoofer in your cab?

YOU try making a 400w 2x12.

That's a bit like saying "YOU try cooking a burger" when you complain that a burger is too expensive.

same reason people like tweeters in a bass cabinet. it runs more efficently and gets broader brighter tone.

i have a cab that has x12" and 1x15" speakers built in, ported (randall cab good one not the MDF model), and the extra 15" is massive for lower notes, especially if you are playing in a lower key or an ERG or something. either splawn sitting atop that is orgasmic.

that's an active cab for a solid state amp.

so 1. it's not just 2 speakers.

and 2. it's solid state so who cares.

Yeah, but you live in Australia. You're used to paying $1,500 for a regular 212 cab
