I was wondering if anyone could point me towards some decent quality machine heads for an acoustic. I'm in the UK and don't mind spending up to £25 to improve what I have. (see Figure 1)

The acoustic is a very cheap one (£59 from Cranes in Cardiff) hence I have this problem. The gear in the machine head (differential) stripped some teeth. It broke within a month of buying it, I returned it and they repaired it with identical machine heads, despite me asking for uprated ones (although they did not charge). I went against their advice and chose lower gauge strings (hoping it would cause less stress on the gears within the head) which has worked for the passed 2 or 3 years. Unfortunately one of the gears has stripped again. (see Figure 2)

I have attached some pictures so you can understand the problem and I hope someone can show me a set of decent machine heads with stronger (metal?) gears.

Thanks in advance.
