i honestly did hear that egnater is making a 5 watt all tube br00tz amp to be released soon.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

beautiful. volume. gain. tone. now if they make one with vaiable wattage from 1-30, i would be all over it.

same thing with dr. Z. i LOVE the idea of an amp with 2-3 knobs. imo means a cleaner design, and less for you to think about and F up. if the amp sounds good you plug in a and play. i can avert my attention to my pedals or something.

problem is, there is now way i will ever be able to hear y dr Z in my apartment. that thing needs to be power scaled.

please please dr. Z make me an amp with build in power scaling at an affordable price !(oxymoron?)

Simple can be good. But if you're looking to control your sound, a 5 watt amp with just a single volume knob isn't going to cut it - great, I have a choice between clean and not loud enough one hand and being both loud and dirty on the other. In all likelyhood, I couldn't get a true clean sound at all.

If there's just one tone knob, even worse - I can't tweak my tone in any detail. I can handle just a treble and bass knob (as in this case), although it tends to mean that if I want a nice mid-range hump, since there's no mid knob I have to keep both the bass and treble on the lower end.

Can't relate to most of these amps, sorry.

I like simple amps

You can always throw EQ in front of it, too. Adjust the guitar, the amp is going to already sound good.

If above anything, it *looks* pretty darn cool.
I'm up for building you a pedal.

My local music store has a few different sizes of them. I'm going to go back and try them again this week.

They seemed alright

Not a metal machine though.

^I'll have to put a dist in front next time

I think I was playing on the 15 watt one. It didn't seem to like the fuzz i front of it as much as I had hoped.

Cleans where nice.
