I'll do other one. "Main Character's Love Interest"
The clock strikes midnight
When tomorrow and today collide
The moon is at its highest
And the twilight seems fitting
For in these moments
The light at the end of the world
Shines like a thousand suns....

this is probably as good a place as any to ask this: is it possible to get the full 88-key range of notes for any instrument in guitar pro 5? how do you do it?

Shit. Oh well... No worries. Put me down for "An Odd Happening," assuming it's still open.

Yeah just change the strings on track properties to whatever you want. You can go past the range of a piano that way.

Yeah. If you're tabbing for a non-fretted instrument, it doesn't have to be "tuned" in a way that makes any sense.
#130
oh how silly, i didn't see the up/down arrows in the tuning properties and thought i had to pick from pre-programmed tunings. thanks!

Yeah sure why not to me it would make a good End Boss 2 Theme or something. Sorry I got a little carried away in the epicness and ideas just came pouring out of me. Well which one should I change it to. Also I have to add in fade effect. Going to work on the Normal Battle 2 theme once I get a little inspiration I been having writers block as of late.

How about Special Boss 1?

What is "Battle won" supposed to sound like? Because I may have something that could fit.

Holy crap this is an awesome idea

I'm too lazy to read the thread. Anyway I can get in on this?

Get a music making program, call dibs on a song that isn't already taken from the list, write the song, post the MIDI, and also a tab file if you used a tabbing program.

I can do End Boss 3

im not liking the use of drums and guitar. i feel like we should have stayed away from the rock vibe. still its a good idea.

I haven't heard it, and I can't listen right now, but sometimes you can easily just change the instruments to make it some more RPGish. Of course, little edits would have to be made.... Also, you can use drum kit... 48? It's the orchestral kit. Has timpani built into it and a cool snare sound. You could replace the rockish drums with a military snare roll type of thing.

Amonamarthmetal, your love scene theme is quite good. Maybe adding some light ensemble string backing wouldn't be bad. Sounds a lot like Chrono Cross, which is awesome.

Oh? It's a JRPG that came out about 10 years ago for the PS1. It has an outstanding soundtrack.

Let's see what you guys think of this track:

I think JazzDeath's EDIT: frankibo's song is fine, it has enough orchestral elements in it to be RPGish. However, it needs to repeat and THEN fade out. What if the character decides to just stand there during that urgent moment? There needs to be a looping point (unless it is that one riff that just fades out)?

Also, as awesome as that track is,^ it doesn't really fit the "odd" vibe. Actually, what I had in mind for An Odd Happening, which is under the "Soundbites" section, is something like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjBnUohmYPs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okByyI7X2gI

However, your song could work well as something else, a "longer" sort of "Odd Happening," or a cutscene that depicts some event happening.

Oh... I see. I thought it was something more of an event. Not a soundbite (redundance be damned). I'll see what I can do.

EDIT: I condensed the arpeggio from the previous version and created a little jingle. Let's see what you think.

How's this for "Rescue plan"?

take out the 15/16 measures (or change it to 4/4) and its great.

Byt this is just my opinion. the 15/16 doesnt work for me. it feels forced.

Absolutely amazing. Although I agree that the 15/16 didn't work, that part just sounded better in 4/4.

So it's been like forever since I even posted here. I did something for this li'l collab, though, tell me what you think! It loops.

I kinda had like...a wooden mansion in the middle of the woods kinda thing in mind. But with haunted butlers. Or something. Something that warrants the apprehensive turn it takes...
