So i just got a mint 6505+ for $600. I consider it a steal. So now i need to shop around for a good cab to match it.

Right now i hear celestion speakers rock. And i see that Marshall 1960As and b-52s can be had cheap second hand. Any other good cabs you can recommend i try out if i see them ? I don't want to spend a fortune, maybe 500$ TOPS unless i have to go out of that range, i'd like to find something used cheap and good if possible.

Line 6 Spider Valve cab. Has V30s. Can be found for around that

A "tubescreamer" is a person paid by a guitarist to stand behind the amp and scream at the tubes. This terrifies the tubes into overdriving and delivers a thick, harmonic-rich tone.

Ok, theres a third one to look for. I'm actually surprised to hear someone recommend line 6 stuff for big sound.

spider valve: good.
spider normal: not good.

thats the simple formula to follow.

HAHA. It isn't that bad. I just have a spider IV 75w combo myself, and it sounds awful turned up loud. Like complete mud. But you get what you pay for i guess.

Definitely try to snatch up that Orange cab, TS. I LOVE mine. I've owned a Marshall 1960AV and a 1960BV as well as a few 2x12s from Mesa and some other companies. The Orange is by far my favourite.

You really can't go wrong with anything with V30s. The 1960 has G1275Ts, which aren't very good speakers for most types of metal. What exactly are you playing, and where are you located?

Look for the usual suspects - Mesa Rectifier/Stiletto, Orange PPC412, Avatar 4x12.

No.

Yes. What would you call the Pod HD series, Vettas, M series multieffects, Flextones, and the DL4 delay? I would go so far to say they make more good products than bad products.

TS, go for the cab offworld linked, or one of the V30 cabs mentioned. The spidervalve cabs are a pretty awesome value

I can't say much about Flextones and Vettas, but POD HD was disgusting. So glad I sold it.

Well I am afraid you are in the minority with that opinion. I think making a ridiculous statement that a company literally does not make one good product is hard to take seriously if you haven't tried them all, which you haven't

mesa and orange cabs can both be found for $500 and under used. Just wait a couple weeks, check Craigslist and guitar forum classifieds.

Well, I tried a Spider (yeah I know everyone hates them but anyway), a distortion pedal from them which I didn't like. I've heard some demos of Spider Valve which didn't impress me at all. M-series effects are the same as those in POD HD, so...
That was enough!

some of them do

some of them are complete shite

I'm guessing vintage 30s would work well with a 6505, though I haven't tried them with it myself.

I saw in a couple of pictures that on Bucketheads Les Paul (only some pictures) that his neck pickup is painted in white. Can anyone explain to me why he would do this, and if there are any pros and cons.

The guy wears a KFC Bucket and a white mask during performances, and you're interested in the color of his pickup covers?

If the Vetta is good enough for Trent ****ing Reznor... 'nuff said there.

Maybe you just suck at editing digital FX?

Also the new DT amps are very nice pieces of gear. I would be going for one, except that they shit the bed for modern high gain. Hopefully L6s next flagship will nail what I need out of an amp.

I gave him some suggestions, what did you do besides knock on the company?

Relax

For some reason this makes you look really butthurt

And I actually think that the SS spiders are the only bad line 6 products there are

The low end PODs aren't great either, but Spiders are what they get a bad rap for. I haven't played much L6 stuff to judge as a whole.

But what if I get butthurt because I called someone butthurt and he got butthurt because soemone said that he became butthurt because I called him butthurt?
