What's your favorite song of the group?

True guitar throughout, I would say Panama; overall, Dreams. The guitar is subtle in the beginning, but it really gets better at the main guitar solo.

Terrible band. Terrible guitar player. They made the 80's look bad. Not independently of course.

While bumping an old thread is preferred if there is already an old one open, the last post in that thread was over three years ago. I think I'm going to leave this one open.

Step 1: Buy a Gibson SG
Step 2: Insert Green Ringer, EQ, 3 dead squirrels and a microwave into said SG
Step 3: Plug in and freak the **** out.

"Big Bad Bill" anyone? "Hang Em High"? "DOA"? Some of their not over played tracks are way better than their popular songs

I'll Wait, anyone? Clever lyrics, great synth work by King Edward and the solo ain't bad either. A hidden gem.

That's a tough one.

Favorite OLD Van Halen song (guitar wise) is probably Mean Street

Favorite NEW Van Halen song is Honeybabysweetiedoll

and I love listening to Eddie's isolated guitar tracks on youtube....

I saw them this June, it was a great show.
Favorite part was when Eddie sat down and played Eruption, Cathedral, and Spanish Fly back to back without stopping.

I generally don't have a problem with people posting their opinions about a band even if it's negative, but bickering back and forth about it will lead to warnings and/or bans. Take it easy, folks.

I was just watching a vid of him today. He has a gay haircut and coloring. Didn't seem too into playing (eruption)...quite understandable I guess.

A guaranteed legend though.

- I'm the One
- Judgement Day
- Unchained
- Romeo Delight
- Source of Infection
- Little guitars
- The Full Bug

And the list goes on and on.

For me, either Jump, or Shine On. So many good times have been had by myself and my friends with those two songs as the soundtrack.
#34
DLR era I would probably say Secrets or Unchained
Sammy era Pleasure Dome or 5150

Eruption, Runnin With the Devil, Take Your Whiskey Home, Mean Streets, Jump, etc. That was all that I can think of for the moment.
