Good day to all in GG&A!

I recently had to opportunity to purge my collection of an old amp and graduate to a much nicer and more reliable amp. But what would this amp be?

Hmmmm, the lonely black tolex doesn't seem to give us any hint. Well, perhaps this other piece will speak for itself, seeing as the amp didn't have a reverb tank I had to hunt out a 'verb pedal and here it is.....

Ok, so did my reverb pedal just get raptured up? Perhaps Andy @ PGS would say so....

Ahh! But here they are, not raptured, simply misplaced....

Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier Solo

This thing is a monster. The clean channel has two settings, clean and pushed, and the dirty channel has 3 settings--raw, vintage, and modern. Each channel is linked to the adjustable solo boost. Compared to my Crate head (which was still 50W all tube) this amp is golden. A much thicker sound all around, though missing some brilliance like what I had on the Crate, but I can EQ that in. While I took a while to reconfigure pedal settings, this amp takes pedals very well. But, as I said, no reverb tank. So.....

Hardwire Supernatural Reverb

When I first saw this pedal a few weeks ago I was impressed by its flexibility, but I had no need for it until now! This pedal feels as though it was designed for Pink Floyd fans due to the intensity and controllability of the settings.

And here is a family pic!

I have a Loop-Master 2 channel looper on the way in a few weeks and will probably re-arrange my pedals again (which would be the third time this month). I'm not using my wah pedal right now as my current playing context doesn't demand one, which is good, because now there is more room for pedals on my board!

See, it's important that people clarify when they say "metal", because I pretty much always assume they are a Cannibal Corpse fanboi.

I'm only running through a Crate V212. I had to dump my 412 to be able to have a tube amp away at school and that was all I could get. Though I must say, it sounds pretty dang good with the Mesa!

I don't think I've ever played anything in black walnut. It's a great ice cream flavor, so I assume it works well for a strat too.

The slugs in the pickups for telecasters are from old winchester rifles, which is why they sound so country.

I have the Supernatural as well! For those who are curious, it IS worth it. Unless you already have a Strymon Blue Sky or something, though I think the Supernatural can hold it's own.

Nice Boogie, man. I want one..

How you liking the pushed setting? I always thought that was cool, but I've only used it on dual recs.

HNAD!

It's pretty nice, but I prefer to run channel one totally clean then a dialed back vintage drive on channel two. My current playing situation doesn't require a tone of distortion, so I can get away with that. I use my blues driver on both channels and my zakk wylde do on channel two.
