Hi

Lately, my amp, Peavey classic 30, has been making a loud buzzing sound. It is not louder than the guitar, but is noticeable when you are not playing. I checked my cables individually, and they are OK, and went through each of my two pedal, and they were OK too. So it only makes a sound when everything is together. What is wrong with it?

Thanks

How are you powering your pedals? Your issue kind of sounds like a ground loop.

I am using a godlyke daisy chain, but when the pedals are by themselves they don't make a sound. It is only when they are together, even if they are not on.

Doesnt sound like anything is wrong with your amp.

I am I correct that it only makes noise when all of them are hooked up? Even if they ate not switched on?

See, it's important that people clarify when they say "metal", because I pretty much always assume they are a Cannibal Corpse fanboi.

It sounds like noisy power supply

Have you tried the pedals on batteries only, not plugged in to your daisy chain?

Yeah, that's correct. But By themselves, they are silent.

I tried it with batteries, and the buzzing went away. So what can I do to use a power supply and not have buzzing?

Ps. My amp has also been making a bit of static noise, is that just the tubes that need to be replaced?

What are the mA ratings on the pedals and on the power supply?

Try making sure the power supply and amp are hooked up to the same outlet

You need to know this. It will say somewhere on the pedals and on the power supply.

If the pedals are too close to max supply of the chain you can get noise. That's why it works well with 1 pedal but not 2. You might just have a crappy cheap supply anyway.

Find the numbers.

The power supply is 300mA and the EHX doesn't say, the wah doesn't say either.

At 300mA I think it's to low.

I don't want to dig through my closet to find my one spot.

Maybe you want to pick up another better type? A one spot, fuel tank jr, etc.

If you want good answers maybe a new thread to help you.

The onespot is 1700mA. It's 15 bucks or so.
