The plan was to drink until the pain over.
But what's worse, the pain or the hangover?
Who am I? I'm a titan so be expectin' a clash.

You make complete sense, but see that bit at the top where I said "fuck the cynicism". I know they're awful, but I don't think they realise that. To them, they're just good people showing enthusiasm for something they care about. It would just be nice if they knew what they were doing instead of making idiot movies.

I think they don't want to realise this. It's easier to side with what seems to be a lovely organisation with a good cause and stick with that than to get informed even more and realise the entire conflict is shit and doesn't have a good side and a bad side.

People want to believe that there is a good and bad side in a conflict. Therefore facebook-activists tend to jump on what seems to be a popular campaign because it's for a good cause. Reading further on the subject would only make them realise it's not that easy. It's easier to say you support the actions against X criminal because he's a bad guy. Period.

Basically. I remember I was more or less questioning people directly on their facebook when they put up their Kony 2012 statuses. Was fun to see people remove them after a few days when they realised it was a joke of a campaign and that they had made fools of themselves. I doubt they cared what I said though but the other side of the story rather quickly came up to the surface and all of a sudden all the save-the-world people went into silence. Hilariously spineless to more or less admit (albeit silently) that they had no idea whatsoever about the conflict although I guess a bit forgiving.

Me on the other I'm totally for the Ugandan government so I say

Kony2012!
sometimes I see us in a cymbal splash or in the sound of a car crash

Which wouldn't matter much if the 90% of the money was going to helping kids in Africa who suffer from African warlords. But, as we know, Kony 2012's goal isn't to set up clinics and housing and such to help kids who suffer from Kony's actions (or the actions of his rivals); it's to make videos and ads that condemn Kony, as well as to build and support Invisible Children's qasi-religious indoctrination camps.

Invisible Children, as an organization, is so damn shady. We should all just boycott the and actively campaign against them.
