I plan on buying a H&K tubemeister 36 and an Avatar G212 vintage cab. If I've read correctly, the head outputs to a cabinet whose total impedance ranges between 8 and 16 ohms. In the Avatar, I plan on getting a Vintage 30 and a G12T75. Would I get the 8ohm version of each speaker or the 16ohm? And if I did get both 8ohm versions, would the cabinet be rated at 16ohms? I've read the manual and many forums, but still do not fully understand when they talk about the cab. I'm guessing that means a combination of all the speakers inside, but as I said, I'm still unsure. I used this manual(pg14)

Any help is appreciated!

When you order from avatar they ask what ohm rating you want and wire the speakers accordingly; meaning if you want a 16 ohm 212 cab you would have two 8 ohm speakers wired in series(like I said though, you say what ohm cab rating you want and they figure this out) or if you wanted a 8 ohm cab, it would be two 16's in parallel for a 212 cab.

Speakers in series add
Speakers in parallel half.

And btw Avatars are great (:
