What LP shaped guitars are out there that have contours?

I know of the ESP Eclipse/LTD ECs, and the Ibanez ART/Z/X have them, anything else?

Some of the Aria Pro II guitars are contoured and have a different heel joint compared to traditional LP guitars.

I think the Agile might be my favorite so far, but the price tag definitely reflects that.

Second place goes to the Ibanez ARTs.

Since I didn't say it before, I'm looking for stuff that doesn't necessarily look just like a Les Paul, but just looks classy in their own right.

As far as what contours, the most important is the back. Having a flat slab against your body is really uncomfortable - to the point that I have no idea why traditional LPs are still so popular.
The amount of stuff in here is cool, keep it coming if there's more out there.

OK, if we're also looking at close cousins, give the Malden Karma and Bad Karma a look (they sound nice, too):

Don't know if it'll be the best to suit you, but I hear quality-wise and sound-wise the Agile is a very good place to look. As long as you live in America, customer support is also something quite easy to get around with Kurt.

Another close cousin to the LP is the Fernandes Ravelle. However, I just got one- beautiful, but slabby.

OTOH, this JEG (I don't know the model name) is essentially a Ravelle with deep contouring.

Did Ibanez ever make any high end ARTs (current design, not the old borderline lawsuit stuff)?

Seems like they're mostly if not all Chinese/Indonesian. That'd be really unfortunate for me if they don't at least have some MIK ones. Gonna start watching these on eBay. I wanna get me one.

the fret king eclat has some unusual contours that are actually pretty effective if you get the strap height just right for the contours to actually be in the right place

I've never had that problem with my 76. Maybe it's something to do with how I wear my strap or my posture when I play it sitting. It's heavy as shit and I think that's awesome. I've also got a double cut that's contoured on the back and chambered. It's kinda like playing a helium balloon which is cool in it's own right but I prefer the heavy slab of wood. Check out a DC if you can I love mine.

The Epiphone Les Paul Ultra Pros have a tummy cut. Can't fathom why you would want one of those abominations though, a Les Paul with a tummy cut just isn't right. (I actually mentioned this just yesterday in the "things that annoy you thread")

^ I guess? I mean, I guess I can understand that, but that's not anywhere near as bad as say, an LP with a bolt on neck.

And in any case, the majority of the guitars listed here aren't actually LPs, so I think they're safe.

@gregs1020 See, you just want to post pics of your SG, don't you?

I consider them equally blasphemous. Also Les Pauls with Floyds. (Or any bridge that isn't tune-o-matic/Nashville or a bigsby)
