Things that could have and should have been out this year
Jay Electronica
D'Angelo

Things that'll certainly be released
Yo La Tengo
Some sort of unreleased Broadcast album
Thee Oh Sees
Bonnie 'Prince' Billy
Wooden Wand

Vaguely rumored stuff
Slint
Boards of Canada

The new QOTSA, Tool, Coheed & Cambria, Alice In Chains (though I don't have terribly high hopes for that one), possibly DevilDriver and hopefully Protest the Hero since Scurrilous was over 2 years ago now

Glad to see the sex king getting some action I think it might be time for me to pull him out again tonight and take him for a spin around the rift.

They tweeted something about working on a new one after summer was over, and this is the first year ever that they haven't had a new release, so it's almost guaranteed that we're getting a new one very soon. Maybe two (one early next year, one at this time next year) if I'm allowed to dream. But probably just one. And with this much time for them to be creative, I imagine it'll be incredible.

Portugal the Man are amazing.

It's like, every time they poop, they write a new song, but the poop is actually made of gold.

Goddamn that would be awesome. Sadly I doubt it's going to happen.

Looking forward to more Modest Mouse and Tool.

Next year will rule for hardcore

Power Trip LP
Rival Mob LP
3rd Dangers LP
new Crime In Stereo
etc.

I would also say I'm excited for the long awaited 2nd Circle Takes the Square album but we all know that's never coming out. it's like the screamo Chinese Democracy

QOTSA

I've also heard rumors about a Mark Lanegan rarities album being released within the next year or so, so if it's legit then I can't wait for that.

I put a ton of my capital into SW Airlines... The next day, THE NEXT DAY these nutters fly into the WTC. What the hell? Apparently no one wanted to fly anymore, and I was like "What gives? God damnit Osama, let me win a fuggin' game!"

I'd like more concept albums. if Protest the Hero, Dream Theater, Periphery, and (maybe but doubtful) Mastodon are all in studio next year, that's gotta produce at least one concept album. I know for a fact Periphery's next album is going to be a concept album, the only question is if it'll be out next year. I know nothing about the other three though

Slipknot
Dillinger Escape Plan
My Chemical Romance
Bullet for my Valentine
Black Sabbath
AC/DC
Bring Me the Horizon
Rage Against the Machine

You may only pick one of these things. They are mutually exclusive.

Definately Tool. They've been working on the new album for six years!

Eh, not so much.

I loved his first EP's and Album, his second album was decent, but I've got little interest in what he does these days. His songs used to feel like a real personal reflection on his life, and I could see similarities and relate to songs like Casanovas Lament, Decent Cup of Tea, and Real Damage. His more recent stuff just seems to be missing that connect for me.

In terms of what I'm looking forward to, I'd like to see a new Skindred release, even though their last one didn't impress me much.

Pooping is well good though, to be fair.

BEWARE THE BANANA ARMY.

I SAY, I SAY, BEWARE THE BANANA ARMY.

They say when they finally attack, all the impostors will peel themselves. In order to tell if you have been assimilated, check for a zipper somewhere near your pelvis.

Shove it up your ass, man.

Funny thing is, when people say shit like this, they're probably just jealous.
