I have been looking at the deals Sam Ash has
It seems that a Flying V is going for $799 with hard shell case,,,MF is
giving me the Guitar for $749 ($50 cheaper}if I buy the guitar from them.
Seems like a great deal,,,But it seems that everything is the same as the Faded
Flying Vs except for the hardshell case?
Gibson is blowing out these guitars and I feel if the economy was doing well that
there would be no deals on these?

Nah their the thin cheap finish. Still play well but their not as well finished as the 1k models. Id get one if you really need to have the gibson name on your headstock. I personally dont care for gibbys except for that 2.5-3k es 335. Though for that kinda money id rather buy a cheaper copy and get a really awesome amp.

Na the faded series feel great. The necks are awesome. They arent glossy, but those necks, damn those necks. Its almost like playing with raw wood. hehe.

They are lower end models for Gibson, but most of the faded series I have played, granted they were older, were great guitars for the price. Though they dont hold there value very well compared with other Gibbys. You can probably get a one used for $500

These are listed at $1799
But have seen them being sold a few months ago for $1100 - $1200
Now most places have them for $1000,butttt sam ashes price of $799 and MF matching the price and giving another 10% off for $749 seems like a great deal.
Butttt is this the same guitar as the faded V???
I know most of the Gibsons at sam ash are blow outs but I think Gibson is in better shape then fender as a company and wonder why Gibson guitars are cheaper lately............JT

They are out of stock, so you most likely wont get a price match now.
They normaly will only match instock items.

Dont buy a Gibson without playing it first, they are all different.

Why are they so cheap.....supply and demand.

Nobody wants them, so to get them to move and make some money they cut the price......a lot.

They probably are still making $2-300 on it.
What the hell!!!
