Hello;

I'm currently jamming tons of DT and I have a problem with a rhythmic pattern I came up with just now. It goes:

| |-| |-|
-x--x-x--x-x- x4 (This is a simple 4/4)

|--|--|
-x-x-x- x3 (a 3/4)

| |-| | |-| | |-|
-x--x-x--x--x-x--x--x-x (now this is a 3/4th again, but here is my problem)

I'm having a hard time explaining this rhythm pattern to people that I play with. Would this be a 4/4+3/4x2 or a 4/4+6/8?
I know that 3/4 and 6/8 are the same but it's just about the groove and the pattern that repeats. After the first 4/4, would the second patter better come off as a triplet in 4/4th repeated 4 times and then changing to the 3/4?

Is there any certain name for the rhythmic change but consistency in the rhythmic pattern?

how about you tab your riff and see how many notes there are in one bar?

uhm, could always be 15/8 in one measure (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + + 5 + + 6 + +)

or 3/4+9/8

however you want to put it

unless i'm reading it wrong, it seems pretty simple

Sure, I understood that I didn't phrase it any good after reading through it..
I'll record it later today or tomorrow and will update my post.

Thanks in advance.
