Hey guys, i was wondering if anybody else is a rapper and a singer. I am starting to naturally be able to balance the two, but it took a lot of work. I sing in a heavy hip hop/reggae/punk hybrid band and there a lots of dynamics in the vocals. Anybody else experiment with this? here is a link if you wanna hear me sing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXfgYfxfr24

That`s awesome!
I usually write songs mixed with rap and rock/metal because I like metal and rap so it`s like the best of both worlds.
Dissonance is underrated.

This was really nicely done. Not really my genre, but I enjoyed it.

You have a good sense of melody.

As far as balancing rapping and singing, I think you did a great job. I didn't really notice when you switched from one to the other - it all felt very organic. Very nice job!

Woah dude this is legit, I like it. Do you record yourselves too? Everything sounds great. I thought the balance between rapping and singing was great, I didn't even notice really.
