Hi,

I have this Eastwood guitar and I want to rewire it with quality components and cable. I'd like to hear some recommendations on the following:

- A good, clear schematic for 2xp90s, one volume, one tone and a toggle switch.
- Pot brand, cable brand, and input brand of good quality but not necessarily made of platinum, if you know what I mean... Gibson quality, at best.
- What tone cap should I use for a fatter P90s sound?
- P90s that are very silent and little noise at great distortion, but that have the bite that we all love. Price: +-80,00$

Any other useful info, much app.

Regards

www.guitarelectronics.com this sit will have the schem you want (it will be for HB probably, but it will still work for you.

For pots, I typicaly use Alpha or Bournes, depending on the type of P-90 I would use either a 250k or 500k you can also find 300k like Gibson uses.

I like Sprauge orange drops either .022uf or .047uf. I'd get both to see which you prefer.

Seymour Duncan make some nice P-90's. Do you need HB size P-90's, Soap bar P-90's or Dog ear P-90's?

Just checked that it has to be dog ear. So I guess I'll use the Gibson dog ears, they sound nice on my friends Junior

Gibson pickups are overpriced new, but if you can get them used they are fine. If you gotta buy new, Duncan would be my choice and they are cheaper than Gibson.

I'll throw in that I have used the dog-ear P90's from this site (specifically the first black one), fully expecting to have to replace it once I got settled on the guitar, but I actually like it a lot. No noise whatsoever, and a nice sweet tone. Man at 17 dollars, you can get 2 guitars worth for the price of a single Seymour Duncan.

I am a pretty big advocate in fighting the idea that you have to pay 100 dollars plus for a good pickup, especially since most players aren't seasoned enough to even tell the difference.

Just my two cents. GFS makes great pickups too, if you just can't stomach paying so little for something so good.
