Hi guys! I'm an amateur novelist, and I'm in the process of writing my second book, which is the first book in a trilogy.

I have a booksie account where you can read the first drafts of the first four chapters, as well as an official Facebook page where I'll be posting about the book, as well as promotional materials as the weeks go on.

Booksie

I'd really appreciate it if you'd either like the page or like/comment the book!

For those interested, here's a brief synopsis:

The story follows three characters: Charr, Manura Ah'Nura, and Luchia. Following the destruction of Charr's hometown of Anjur, at the hands of Xzamark's general Nuhn Ima, and his enslaved Bejemot, the three are thrust into a world of war and strife.

Set on revenge, they set out in pursuit of a weapon capable of destroying the Bejemot and Nuhn Ima.

The story follows their journey throughout the world as they explore vast, unique lands and face perils beyond all they expected.

--

Thanks to anybody who helps!

The ****? Your second book is a trilogy? Or it's the second in a trilogy? Or the second book you've written but the first in a trilogy?

For a so-called "novelist," your writing isn't entirely clear or compelling.

Also, I'm pretty certain this kind of self-promotion is against Pit rules.

This is exactly the reason I didn't click on those links.

Or perhaps his second book is a collection of three books that make up a trilogy.

Second book is the first in a trilogy, apologies for that.

Also if it's against Pit rules I apologize, I wasn't sure whether or not it was so I figured somebody would tell me either way. :P

Right now everything is still in the draft stage, but because of a lack of input from readers, my first book was largely based on my own writing, rather than sourcing input on pace/character etcetc.

The logo is in draft stage too, but there's a lot that I'm saving for when I start promotion for it, around February 2013.

I sold just under 500 copies of the first book, and I'm hoping this one beats it.

Isn't bejemot spelled begemot?

I have to admit after looking up begemot, it does seem like an intriguing subject to write about.

6/10 would read.

The rules say "no advertising other forums/websites"
He's advertising his book, and I don't see what the problem is with that, people advertise their songs all the time.

If the link worked, I'd lend my opinion.

Comments are welcome and appreciated, but for people using it for other things, can you please stop commenting.

As far as bland and generic goes, reading the first sentence or so isn't enough to commit to an opinion. If you're not interested, don't bother.

Thanks.

So what you're saying is... you're welcoming comments, but only if they're telling you how great your thing is, and if they are anything implying that somebody actually doesn't like it ( ) then they obviously didn't read it and shouldn't bother commenting.

Absolutely not, if you'll look at the page all of the comments offer some form of criticism, but its constructive. Saying "its bland and generic" offers no help or anything useful.

If you believe it's bland and generic and have read the entire chapter, then offer something that can be taken to make it NOT bland and generic.

However, if you just don't like it, then I appreciate the opinion. It's not going to be to everyone's taste.

Okay.

I don't like it.

It's not that I dislike it, it's merely that I haven't read it and are thus incapable of neither liking nor disliking it (well, at least based on an informed opinion). Hope the feedback was useful
