hmm, a lot of Metallica is in standard.

Maybe Dillinger Escape Plan

I saw you liked Avenged Sevenfold on your profile. It you don't mind going to Drop D a lot of their songs would considered advanced.

Alright sweet.

May I ask why?

I'm pretty excited for this, I just bought a new condenser mic, and I'm dying to test it out in my own recording situation.

Those bands were a copy/paste from my myspace profile years ago
I'll see what there is though.

Advanced guitar I think

I don't really know how to gauge Jazz stuff so I'll just drop it in advanced unless somebody takes issue.

I've decided on learning Europa by Santana. I don't like to play that psychedelic style any more but there are people in my family who love the song so I'm going to do it.

By all of your standards I guess sign me up for easy guitar.

Okay, put The Pearl Fishermen by All about Eve in easy guitar.

Though tabbing it out isn't easy -- I've kind of worked out a version now. But I know it's not note for note.

I guess it depends on what you're used to playing, but I would struggle to play anything by Santana. Lead guitar is not my thing.
Learning a new cover song? Feel like recording it? And have people listen to it? See the CATPM thread in the Pit. Here's the user group

It's not what I'm used to, but there are only two things that will I will find difficult.

1. There are repeating parts, but it's not a song where I can just learn a verse part, a chorus part, etc. and put it all together. This isn't a problem except I am bad with deadlines.

2. Making those bends sound good.

So I guess it could be intermediate. I'm fine with whichever.

I've officially started tracking both songs.

Both are kicking my ass at the moment, more The Ancient Covenant than Shadow Of Eternal Sin.

Thanks. The Boy From Seattle is a lot harder to play than it sounds and definitely harder than most of Vai's work.
