I doubt F1 is fixed.

I can't wait until the car reveals; hopefully they look better than last year's!

hilarious article about on Helmut Marko trashing alonso+webber.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/20961585

those 2 drivers are probably the most respected on the grid and HM just swipes them away and proceeds to kiss Vettels' ass.

for shame helmut, for shame.

Well done with the OP, nice work!

In other news, Helmut can go suck a bag of dicks.
Yeah, now you're gonna die wearing that stupid little hat. How does it feel?

Help me to live.

I make custom guitar wiring harnesses and I'm pretty damn good at it!

Or now that he's at McLaren, McDooooooooozaaaaaaaaaaa? Yes/No?

I like the design of the teams/drivers in the OP. Keep it up, add in the rest when Force India and Caterham are confirmed. Yes.

Henri Pescarolo's team has been put into administration lame.

Is anyone paying attention to Dakar? I have a hunch that Peterhansel will win it, but really it could be out of him, Al-Attiyah or Sainz.

I liked their old Courage's from the mid 00s. Good cars.

The good news is that his workshop may run cars from a different outfit this year.

As much as Audi has achieved, Dr Ullrich has nothing on Pescarolo and de Chaunac. However times have changed and Rebellion Lola are the new Pescarolo (best of the privates).

Taki In-the-way says that a Findia announcement is expected tomorrow. Because it's coming from him, I'm calling Kamko.

EDIT: Having said that, it's probably just a car announcement.

Taki said that Kimi signed for Williams. The guy is a laugh but his real news is well short of being accurate.

i just spent 2 minutes trying to figure out what company findia was and how they fit in.

doh.

taki is great though, we can all agree

No Turkey, calendar stays at 19 races

Who is going to be the unlucky country that loses their race in 2014? Add in Russia and jersey we are at 21 and they won't do more than 20. Korea? Malaysia? Bahrain? Something in Europe...

Ideally, it would be bahrain, but it'll probably be Spa or something.

I'd say spa and paul ricard will alternate and we'll lose the german race on the years that it's meant to be nurburgring?

Mercedes have unveiled their 2014 V6 engine, anyone got a line on an audio clip for it?

The Autosport guys say that it sounds great - not high pitched like the current engines, but deeper and more solid with a 15k rev limit. We'll still need earplugs. Huzzah!
#147
Here's an interesting spin on the 2014 calendar discussion

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Formula_One_season

Given its not reliable, the 20 races that are 'contracted' for next year are listed - and Suzuka isn't there! Suzuka is the only other track other than Silverstone that self-funds its own race without govt support. Dropping Suzuka, that's almost as depressing as dropping Spa - but I don't think that will happen. Like Hungaroring, the race always sells out and has massive local support.

That said, there's supposedly intentions of doing the Thailand race in 2014 too which would mean another race would have to be dropped.
#151
Ye. They've been running it for 8 years - that means the track has been there for 8 years and Bernie hasn't utilised it.

They run RLM commentary, best. I love those guys.
#153
From a quick google it doesn't look near F1 worthy, but it's hardly like they'd struggle with making it so with the amount of cash floating around over there.

Is there any date set on when Force India and Caterham announce the last remaining drivers?

Nope. Jarno Trulli managed to sit in the first test for Caterham last year before Petrov was confirmed, so we could be in for a long wait.
