Well yes! It's that time again! It's new guitar day, just wanted to share this with you all.

Here she is, my Epiphone SG Custom (three pickup) version

(Invalid img)

Got her in a trade from a guy at College. I traded my Ibanez RG350 MDX for it, to be fair. I feel like I robbed him in broad day-light. This thing is far better, for me at least. It feels really smooth on my big hands and I feel like it resonates really well, (can only play unplugged. My amp has recently died!)

Plus it feels really heavy too (at least compared to my other guitars) but that's the mahogany body, coming into play there. But it feels, slick and comfortable to play. Though I'm going to have to sort the action out as I've found a couple of places where there is some Fret-buzz.

Here's the other thing that came today...

Apologies for the feet getting into view

Here this is, a LTD Dave Mustaine in Sunburst, I don't know much about this one apart from that it's a brilliant guitar. The neck feels a little bit thicker than any of my Ibanez guitars I own and it plays like a dream.

The Fretboard is Rosewood and with a Mahogany neck it just feels absolutely brilliant compared to cheaper guitars I've played, bought and sold and it plays a bit like the old Kevin Bonds Rhodes I used to have and then gave to my brother.

The body is Mahogany and I think it's a three piece body, but I'm not too sure. (I'll post some closer photo's for you guys to see!) and it feels surprisingly light for what I was expecting compared to my Epi. There's no neck dive, like my Epi either.

The sound unplugged is really nice, clear and articulate and I can tell which strings out of tune if it is. But there's a Tone Pro's bridge in there. Which apparently has a locking feature? and the string thru body helps improve the sustain of the guitar. Feels like some of the notes just hold on when they're rung.

Also there's only 200 of these in the world and this one is numbered 151.

But anyway, hope you enjoy the pr0nz.

Any questions about either, just ask!

Neat guitars.
and the string thru body helps improve the sustain of the guitar.

I hate to nitpick, but stopbar tailpieces give you better sustain.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
